N7.4trn ($18bn) worth President of UAE wrapped and buried in only 2 pieces of cloth

The late President of United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has been buried on Friday night following nationwide prayers for him.

The President died on Friday, his death was announced by the UAE state news agency. A 40 days mourning with flags flying at half-mast from Friday was announced.

Also, work was suspended in the public and private sector of the United Arab Emirate for three days to mourn his death.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also ordered that prayers are made for the late President in the two holy mosques Mecca and Madinah.

According to the order, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman directed prayers to be observed in absentia for late UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah after the evening prayers.

Prayers were also observed for him across mosques in the UAE on Friday.

Reminiscing on the manners of the burial of the late UAE President, a Nigerian man named Sanusi Asada marveled on how death can really humble humans.

In a tweet sent out by him captioned with the images of the late President’s burial, he wondered how a man with an estimated net worth of N7.4trn ($18bn) will be buried with just two pieces of clothes.

He wrote; “This world is indeed but a temporary place. Nothing in it is worth risking ur hereafter!. President of UAE laid to rest wrapped in only 2 pcs of white clothe!

“Estimated worth over $18 billion, controlled $10 Trillion in oil reserves! If death doesn’t humble you, what will?,” he added.

The late President of UAE was buried according to the Islamic ways. In the burial of Muslims across the world, it involves prayers and burying the dead the same day of his death and without ceremony.
