The 8th edition of the prestigious African Magic Viewers Choice Awards(AMVCA) is currently going on at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island to its usual glitz and glamour.

AMVCA is a gathering of industry professionals and lovers of African movies and television.

Man Utd sack Mourinho after poor start to the season

The Red Devils have won just two of their last eight matches in all competitions and sit 11 points off fourth place in the Premier League Jose Mourinho has been sacked by  Manchester United  following their disappointing start to the season. Osun governor Ademola Adeleke replaces sacked APC LG chairmen with civil servants

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun has directed career heads of local government areas (LGAs) and area councils development areas (ACDAs) to take charge of their councils from the sacked council chairmen and councillors. The directive is contained in a statement issued by Adeleke’s spokesman, Mal. Olawale Rasheed, on Monday, November 28, 2022. The directive took immediate effect. “Governor Adeleke also directed the most senior career heads across all the local government areas to take charge of their councils,” the statement said. “This is in compliance with the judgment of the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo that sacked the council d local government chairmen and councillors.” On Friday, November 25, 2022, Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel of the Osogbo Division of the Federal High Court declared the local government election conducted by the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission null and void. Atiku condemned Senator Elisha Abbo assault act

The People's Democratic Party presidential candidate in the 2019 general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has expressed his dissatisfaction over the alleged assault video involving Sen. Elisha Abbo, PDP, Adamawa North. The presidential candidate condemned the act by the Senator from his state and his political party and call for the law to take it's course.
