ICYMI: Rotary Club of Obantoko walk to keep Polio at Zero


The Rotary Club of Obantoko actively participated in the Ogun State 7km Joint Polio Walk to keep Polio at Zero. This walk was organised by the Rotary District 9110 for all Rotary Clubs in Ogun State on 24th October, 2021. 
The Mission of the 7km Polio Walk Campaign was put together not only to Commemorate World Polio Day but to Sustain awareness, advocacy and mobilize support for resources in other to sustain a 100% Polio Free status within our communities and the world at large. 
The 7km Walk was declared open by the Representative of the State Governor, who doubles as Commissioner for Health Dr.(Mrs) Tomi Coker and other District Leaders. 
Over 20 Rotary Clubs in Ogun State participated in the exercise. The turnout was very impressive with full participation of Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, Rotakids and potential members. 
The Walk Train moved from June 12 Cultural Center kuto, through Lalubu Oke-ilewo to Ibara to Panseke back to Omida, Isale-Igbein, Sapon to Itoku market, back to Nepa Road to Kuto. The walk ended after covering about 13km.
