2023: 16 parties produce presidential candidates

Our land soaked in blood, gloom, South-East Bishops wailAHEAD of today’s deadline given by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for political parties to conclude their primaries, 16 of the 18 registered political parties have produced their presidential candidates.

At press time, two parties, the African Democratic Party, ADP; and Action Peoples Party, APP, were yet to produce their candidates

Parties that have produced their standard bearers include the ruling All progressives Congress, APC; main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Labour Party, LP; and the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP.

Objective : The objective of the Bleeding Time (BT) test was to evaluate the time taken for small blood vessels to stop bleeding after a standardized skin puncture, thus assessing platelet function and vascular integrity. 2. Principle : The test was based on the principle that bleeding time reflects platelet plug formation at the site of vascular injury. The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has issued a 15-day ultimatum to the Federal Government of Nigeria to address the long-standing demands of Nigerian nurses.  This decision was made during the NANNM's National Executive Council meeting in Abuja on August 28, 2024. The association is seeking: 1. Immediate Reopening of Nurses' Verification Portal:  The NMCN, a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Health, should reopen the verification portal to enable nurses to explore better opportunities, pursue further studies, and complete necessary tasks. 2. A gigantic ‘man-made’ SPHERE was discovered in Bosnia—said to be left over from ancient civilization

A huge, perfectly round stone sphere has been discovered in a forest in Bosnia. It is one of several such spheres found in the area, and it is also the largest. Its finder claims that it was created by an advanced civilization from ancient times, and apparently, there is much evidence to support that claim. A massive stone ball was discovered in a Bosnian forest by archaeologist Sam Osmanagić, near the town of Zavidovici. The sphere has a radius of around 3 meters, and has an unusually high iron content. Osmanagić estimates its weight to be around 60,000  pounds (roughly 27,000 kg).
