Olu of Warri, wife mark seventh wedding anniversary

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, and his wife, Olori Atuwatse III, on Monday marked their seventh wedding anniversary.
The wife of the foremost Itsekiri monarch took to her Instagram page to share pictures of their wedding day.

In the caption, she poetically showered prayers on her husband as they celebrated their union.

She wrote, “Happy Wedding Anniversary @oluofwarri. Of the fresh dew of heaven And the scents of heaven’s gardens. Of the mix of beautifying oils and ointments. That the Bridegroom Himself Showers His attention and care on us as His own.

“As we come to this milestone, the Lord causes us to be signposts of renewal and restoration and strengthen the fibre of our marriage as a cornerstone immovable.

“That we may be a pattern and example to all in the kingdom (spiritual and natural) of God’s steadfast and unfailing love as a model for a godly marriage.

“The Lord calls our seeds blessed and seeds from our seeds. The Lord fences our union and preserves it for his gain. He takes delight in us as emissaries of the King and carries out His purpose through both of us.”

“To many more fruitful years with you. To years of joy, laughter and love. To years of grace, passion and intimacy, enabled by the Lord, enacted by the Spirit, ordained by the Father. Happy wedding anniversary, my king.” (sic)

NAFDAC seals shop for allegedly selling unregistered aphrodisiacs in Zuba

Nafdac Building The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, on Thursday sealed a shop in Zuba, an outskirt of FCT, for allegedly selling unapproved aphrodisiacs to Nigerians. Some of the aphrodisiacs are: garin yansun, sabon mai-siket, ruwan jaraba, tunkude, fenugreek powder and al-khausara herbal syrup (man power). Bubuchiki Godiya, a member of the Federal Taskforce, Investigation and Enforcement Directorate of NAFDAC, said that “the agency received an Intel that Yunusa Adamu was manufacturing unregistered herbal preparation.” He Godiya said that the agency sent some of its team members to investigate and on arrival they found that there were many unregistered herbal drugs. He said that Adamu claimed to have purchased the herbal drugs from Kano and Kaduna markets. Dr Femi Thomas, widower of late Consultant Paediatrician at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Dr. Hestianna Thomas, was yesterday transferred to the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, SCIID, Yaba, over alleged involvement in his wife’s death. Dr. Thomas as reliably gathered, submitted himself to policemen at Ajao estate division immediately his wife was certified dead at the LUTH last week. However during interrogation, he reportedly told policemen that his wife could have committed suicide, maintaining that he knew nothing about her death. As at yesterday, policemen at the Homicide section of SCIID had reportedly swung into action in their bid to unravel the cause of the late Consultant Paediatrician’s death and subsequently bring her assailants to book. Woman 'cured by lucky DNA mutation'

A woman with a rare disease has been spontaneously cured in an event so improbable doctors say it is the medical equivalent of a lottery win. The woman in her 50s, who is not being named, was plagued by warts and infections as part of "WHIM syndrome" - caused by a defective immune system. But US doctors say a fluke DNA mutation, reported in the journal Cell, effectively cured her in her 30s. One doctor said the odds of it happening were "astronomically low". 'Pupils dilated' Patients with WHIM syndrome have a defect in a single section of their DNA. They are still able to make the cells that form the immune system, but these get stuck in the bone marrow where they are produced. The patients are left incredibly vulnerable to infection, particularly the human papillomavirus that leads to warts and an increased risk of cancer.
