Foursquare church mum over reported death of former GO’s wife, Yinka Badejo

The Foursquare Gospel Church has been silent over the reported death of Yinka Badejo, widow of the ministry’s former General Overseer.

The death of the 72-year-old clergywoman was reported three months after her husband’s passing. Rev. Wilson Badejo had died on August 7, 2021 at the age of 74.

According to Church Times, she died in the early hours of Friday, November 12 after a brief illness.

The report quoted close family sources who revealed that Rev. Yinka had been battling an unnamed sickness before the demise of her husband.

“Her husband was concerned about her health before he died. Ironically, her husband was not sick before he died. It was Mrs Badejo that had been ill.” The source told Church Times.

However, Foursquare church is yet to give an official statement concerning the reported death.

Church Times also quoted the source as saying that the reasons for the church’s silence may be due to its ongoing annual convention.

The week-long Foursquare annual convention began on November 15 and would come to a close on November 21, 2021.
