Imasayi coronates new monarch

The coronation of Oba Kuoye Adeleke, as the Olu of Imasayi Kingdom in Yewa North Local Government of Ogun State, will hold on Saturday.
According to a statement on Thursday, the ceremony which would hold at the Oluaso High School Playing Ground, Imasayi, would mark the peak of a week-long event that had revitalised the ancient town with hope and enthusiasm.
“It is also coming after the conclusion of the king’s traditional seclusion and other rites.
“Expected at the event is the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Mr Dapo Abiodun. Other top dignitaries to grace the occasion include the Deputy Governor, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele; a former Governor of Ogun State, Mr Gbenga Daniel and his erstwhile deputy, Alhaja Salmat Badru, and the members of the State Executive Council,” the statement partly reads.
The chairman of the installation central planning committee, Mr Kunle Olawunmi, said, “We have waited for this long to present to the world what people of Imasayi are made of. It is exciting to inform all our invitees, sons and daughters of Imasayi that we are ready to use this coronation to kick start the development of our ancestral home.”
