Peter Obi visited the College of Nursing Science and the School of Medical Laboratory Technicians at Bishop Shanahan Specialist Hospital, Nsukka

The Labour party presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Mr Peter Obi, yesterday visited the College of Nursing Science and the School of Medical Laboratory Technicians at Bishop Shanahan Specialist Hospital, Nsukka to inspect the progress following his contribution of over an hundred million naira donation towards the growth and development of the institution.

Mr Peter Obi who made this know on his post on his verified 𝕏 (formally twitter) post today, Reads:

"Yesterday, I visited the College of Nursing Sciences and the School of Medical Laboratory Technicians at Bishop Shanahan Specialist Hospital, Nsukka—the only institution of its kind in the senatorial zone.

Like many other critical health and educational institutions across the country, I have remained steadfast in my support for Shanahan College of Nursing Sciences and the School of Medical Laboratory Technicians, contributing over N100 million to their growth and development over the past four years.

On arriving at the College, I was delighted to learn that it has been upgraded and accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to award National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas. I was also pleased to see their expanded infrastructure and the increasing number of students benefiting from quality education.

While interacting with the students, I encouraged them to remain steadfast in their studies, as education will open doors to global opportunities and equip them to contribute to a healthier Nigeria. To further support their development, I donated an additional N20 million to the College.

My ultimate vision remains the development of a nation driven by high human capital, ensuring a better quality of life through strategic investments in key areas of human development of education, healthcare and pulling people out of poverty.

A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
