MLSCN Registrar/CEO has called on staff to adopt essential fire safety skills

Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) Registrar/CEO, Prof. Tosan Erhabor, has called on staff to adopt essential fire safety skills, emphasizing their role in the effective management of emergencies. 

He said this during a fire drill conducted in conjunction with the Federal Fire Service, today at MLSCN Headquarters, in Abuja.

Leading the exercise, DSF Sylvester Monday of the Federal Fire Service, underscored the importance of fire prevention and preparedness. 

According to him, "Fire safety, is a collective responsibility. Therefore, we must remain vigilant and proactive in preventing fires."

The team demonstrated proper fire extinguisher use, evacuation procedures, and the critical role of smoke detectors and alarms in ensuring safety.

Chief Ebola Doctor Contracts Ebola

A doctor who has played a key role in fighting the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone is infected with the disease, according to that country's Ministry of Health. Dr: Shelk Humarr Khan is being treated by the French aid group Medecins Sans Frontieres - also known as Doctors Without Borders - in Kailahum, Sirra Leone, Tim Shenk, an agency spokesman, told CNN.
