NAPS national president mourn Olubadan

The national president of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Com. Olalere Benedict Adetunji pka OBA, has mourn the demise of the Late Olubadan of Ibadan land, HRM Oba Saliu Adetunji Akanmu, Aje ogungunluso I.

In a post made available to our correspondence, NAPS president eulogize the late Olubadan as a great leader, and father with a unique lifestyle and custodian of Ibadan culture.

The late Olubadan joined his ancestors in the early our of Sunday 2nd January 2022 at 93years and had since been buried according to Islamic rite at his Popoyemoja resident on the same day.

Oba Saliu Adetunji was the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan land after the demise of Oba Samuel Odugade in 2016.

Endocrinologists have calculated that within six to seven hours after consuming sugar, the body's immune response decreases 17 times. This is because the chemical composition and properties of sugar are similar to those of vitamin C. And vitamin C is an immune stimulant. The Registrar, Prof. Tosan Erhabor, earlier today, emphasised the vital role of accurate medical laboratory diagnosis in the fight against malaria. He stated this during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MLSCN and the National Malaria Elimination Program (NMEP) at the MLSCN Headquarters in Abuja. Prof. Erhabor noted that the MoU aims to enhance malaria diagnosis, laboratory practices, and sustainable elimination strategies. "By combining NMEP’s resources with MLSCN’s expertise, we are establishing a platform to train laboratory scientists and ensure the provision of accurate malaria diagnosis," he said. The management and staff of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), has announces the sudden death of the Council Registrar/CEO, Professor Tosan Erhabor, which occured on the 13th April, 2025. The Federal Government of Nigeria has appointed the mist senior director in Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), Dr Donald Ofili, as the Acting Registrar/CEO following the death of Prof Tosan Erhabor. In a Press Release with a title: FG Appoints Ofili MLSCN Ag. Registrar/CEO  dated 28th April, 2025, states that Dr Ofili has been overseeing the council affairs since the passage of Prof Tosan Erhabor, and added that the letter conveying Dr Ofili's appointment was approved by the Minister of state for Health and Social welfare, Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako on behalf of the Federal Government.
