Pls doc hw cn hormonal imbalance be treated?

#Treatment

This depends on the cause of hormone imbalance.Treatment is tailor made and specific to individual cases. There is no one singular method that works for everyone.
In some patient ,the imbalance might be due to weight gain and once the patient drops the excess weight ,the hormones go back to normal range.
From a medical standpoint ,the aim of all treatments is to return the abnormal hormones back to normal level. One popular and reliable method of treatment is hormone-replacement therapy (HRT), and this involves the use of medications containing estrogen or progesterone in correction of imbalance.

These medications MUST be prescribed by a trained proffesional. On NO account should you take any of these medications without prescription and supervision. These medications replace the hormones that are deficient within the ovaries. These medications are the synthetic forms of the natural hormones and are delivered through pills, patches or creams.

PLEASE BE ADVISED, there are serious risks associated with HRT, including heart disease, stroke and breast cancer. So you MUST be under close monitoring and supervision from a doctor .These risks may vary depending on a woman's health history, age and lifestyle. You MUST discuss and understand the risks and benefits involved before deciding if HRT is appropriate for you.

In some women hormone imbalance might lead to depression or mood changes, these women may also benefit from taking antidepressants or anti-anxiety medication prescribed by the doctor.

Finally as mentioned earlier in addition to medical treatment, some patients with hormone imbalance are able to balance the symptoms of hormone imbalance by maintaining a healthy diet and active lifestyle
