Gbenga Adeboye gave me my nickname - Shoshogirisho

A well known broadcaster and musician, Mr Oluwole Osikoya Popularly called Gbenga Allyson or Shoshogirisho, said in a media chat in Abeokuta that the last multi talented broadcaster, producer and entertainer, Prince Gbenga Adeboye, gave him his nickname.

Shoshogirisho who has worked with three late multi talented broadcaster during their life time (Prince Gbenga Adeboye, Chief Toba Opaleye and Kolawole Olawuyi) added that he gained so many diverse things from them.

While outlining his achievements from them, he said "I have the inspiration for broadcasting and production from Gbenga Adeboye, and Toba Opaleye launched me to the people while Kolawole Olawuyi is a friend that help to produce my first album"

When asked about the meaning of his nickname he said "Gbenga Adeboye coined my nickname from one of my name Shola, and added Girisho to it to make 'Shoshogirisho '"

Shoshogirisho who is from Ijebu ode, Ogun state but was born in Ibadan, Oyo state and attended Otubu Memorial Primary School, Ijebu ode and proceeds to Ijebu ode Grammar School, Ijebu ode and Badagry Grammar School, Lagos State, and later to Technical College and Lagos State Polytechnic Ikorodu with the aim to study Electrical-Electronic.

He met Gbenga Adeboye in a wedding ceremony at the National Stadium, surulere and he was invited to Radio Lagos, he left Gbenga Adeboye for Toba Opaleye in 1994 through Gbenga Adeboye's connection, through his aim to achievement he joined Kolawole Olawuyi in 1996-1997 where he use his jingle studio to produce his first album.
