15 facts about the late Ogun NACHPN Scribe, Late Adekunle Adeniji

The late scribe of the National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (NACHPN), Ogun state chapter, Com Adeniyi Adekunle died in an auto accident on Saturday 13th January, 2024.

Below are 15 facts about the late General secretary:
1. He was born to the family of Late pa J. K. Adeniji in Oke-odan, yewa South local government area of Ogun state.

2. He was born on the 17th of March, 1984.

3. He was the fourth (4th) child out of six (6) children.
4. He had his primary education at African Church Primary School, and his secondary school education at Muslim Progressive High School, both at Oke-odan, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun state.

5. He began his tertiary education journey at Ogun state College of Health Technology, Ilese-ijebu (now Ogun state Polytechnic of Health and Allied Science), where he studied Community Health Technician and became Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) in 2004.

6. He served as a Student Union  Finance Director under Vision 2003 led by Com. Adesoga Bailey and graduated at Ogun state College of Health Technology, as the departmental president in 2004 (NACHSON President 2004).
7. He proceeded to Lagos state University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for his Community Health Officer (CHO) training from 2017 to 2019.

8. He also graduated in LASUTH as the Students’ Union President in 2019

9. He was employed into Ogun state civil service in October, 2007.
10. He had worked as a school health officer across schools and local governments in the state before he was  transferred to Oke mosan.

11. He is a devoted Christian and an ordained Deacon, Assistant Pastor and Youth coordinator at The Living Christ Evangelical Ministry (LICEM) Abeokuta.

12. He served in many capacity from branch level of NACHPN to the state level, from Assistant secretary (twice), until September 2022 when he was elected as the General Secretary of NACHPN in Ogun state until his death.
13. His last posting is Ogun state Alternate Medicine Board (OGAMB), until his death.

14. Adekunle Adeniji was a head of a unit in Ogun State Alternate Medicine Board 

15. He is survived by wife, children, siblings and aged mother.
