AJAX SPORTING CLUB won the 4th edition of the Egba Youth Football Championship

It was a dream comes true for the debutante, AJAX SPORTING CLUB of Obada-Oko as they are crowned champions in the 4th edition of the Egba Youth Football Championship after beating TRACE FC 1-0 in the final on Sunday at Muda Lawal stadium in Asero, Abeokuta.
Egba Youth Football Championship is a football championship aimed at engaging youth across the communities in Egbaland, while providing platform for talent discovery and curbing menace.

The 4th edition of the competition begins with 6 groups of 4 teams making 24 teams in a 52 games saga from all communities within Egbaland.

Meanwhile, Debash FC defeated Patriot FC in a penalty shootout of 6-5 after an interesting 3-3 draw on Saturday to clinch the third position.

Egbaland comprises of six (6) local government in Ogun state which includes Abeokuta south, Abeokuta North, Ifo, Ewekoro, Odeda and Obafemi Owode local government area.
WAY TO FINAL
AJAX SC qualified as a group topper in Group E with 9 points, 8 goal for, 3 goal against and +5 goal difference in the group stage.
They went ahead to defeat Samba Boys FC in the round of 16 by 3-1 on penalty after a goal less draw.
They defeated Onigbedu FC in the quarter final by 2-0 and Patriot FC in the semi final by 1-0
