Open Letter to Prince Dapo Abiodun by Alumni of Ogun state Polytechnic of Health and Applied Science

Your Excellency sir,

BIASED AND CORRUPT PROCESS IN THE SELECTION OF THE PIONEER RECTOR OF OGUN STATE POLYTECHNIC OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES

With due respect  to your esteemed office and venerated personalty.

We the concerned Alumni of former  Ogun State College of Health Technology, now Ogun State Polytechnic  of Health and Allied Sciences, Ilese-Ijebu, hereby writes to express our dissatisfaction on the recent selection of the rector recommended  by the govening council for approval.

The truth of the matter, Advert to the position of Rector, Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences, Ilese-Ijebu closed on June 16th, 2023 not less than thirteen applicants were involved whereas four applicants were screened out, allowing nine applicants available for interviewing and selection process before one Mr Akinbo was slotted into the process illegally without the required qualifications.

Prior to the academic qualification required, an individual must possess a doctorate degree (PhD) from a recognized institution. There wasn't PhD credentials submitted by Mr Akinbo in the application submitted to the registrar at the close of entry on June 16th, 2023. It was later collected on July 11th with an effective date of July 6th, 2023 noted on the statement of result. All this act was aided also by the School Registrar who has personal interest in Mr Akinbo.
This implies that by rule, he was not qualified enough to partake in the interviewing and selection process from the beginning of the process. How can someone not qualified to be shortlisted be interviewed, graded and recommended for an appointment.

We hereby  bring to the notice of the general public, and the peace loving Governor of Ogun state His  Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, CON, to look vividly into the process that brought the screening, interviewing and selection of Mr Akinbo, it is a total display of shame, misuse of power, lack of credibility and competence as it is against what the Gateway State is known for.

We are using this medium to appeal to the listening  governor to allow a  qualified alumni of the school  that is well inclined with holistic health,  diligent someone who is free of corruptible practices to be appointed.
Our  bone of  contention  is to condemn this act totally and implore the governing council of the great institution of repute not to consider the recommendation letter for appointment or approval of Mr Akinbo, who is not only qualify but someone with questionable academic qualification for the process

E-Signed
Concerned Alumni Member
