ICA celebrate second year anniversary

The Independent Churches of Aladura Worldwide will from Saturday 12th to Thursday 17th February 2022 celebrate their second year anniversary award ceremony and thanksgiving service with a theme NEW GLORY.

The program is set to begin with a flag off of national leader (His Grace Ap. Dr. Olu Popoola JP) platinum birthday and bible quiz competition by 12 noon on Saturday 12th February, 2022.

According to the information made available by the National Secretary, Pastor Opeoluwa Popoola, he said "The program continues on Tuesday 15th with Revival at all ICA local government with exchange of pulpit from 4 to 6pm.

Wednesday 16th February is for leadership capacity building seminar and conference (with free eye medical check-up), with a theme The Church and The Law with registration fee of #1,000 at the National secretariat, CFSCN, Alaapa, Aro, Abeokuta from 10am.

The Anniversary, Award ceremony and Thanksgiving service will come up on Thursday 17th February by 10am at the National secretariat CFSCN, Alaapa, Aro, Abeokuta.

The program will come up under the chairmanship of Rev. Pro. Dr. Omo Talabi and Rev. Dr. J O Gbobo the secretary planning committee.

He added that, all registration fees, sponsorship, donation and supports are to be made to ICA worldwide FCMB account number 7433053011.

Reps direct nursing council to resume verification of nurses and midwives

The House of Representatives has asked the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to reopen its website and start verifying Nurses and Midwives based on the previous guidelines, not the revised guidelines dated February 7, 2023. This is to be done until an investigation by the House Committee on Health Institutions is concluded. Dr. Patrick Umoh raised a motion of urgent public importance emphasising the need to safeguard institutional integrity and address any misinterpretation of the House’s resolution by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Umoh highlighted the House’s constitutional authority to enact laws for the peace, order, and good government of the Federation, including the power to enforce its resolutions and compel an executive agency to carry out a specific act in the public interest. SSANU protests sack of 23 FUNAAB workers, indicts EFCC

MEMBERS of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) yesterday rallied support for the 23 workers sacked by the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in Ogun State. The association protested the sack by disrupting movement into the campus while they accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of betrayal by releasing the names of the whistleblowers to the management of FUNAAB.
