UNICEF welcomes the first baby of the year in Lagos

The United Nation Children Fund (UNICEF) has welcome the first baby of the year 2019 in Lagos state.

The baby was born at exactly 12:00am on Tuesday first of January, 2019 at Lagos Island Maternity Hospital.

UNICEF made this known in their Twitter post that read:

"Join us in welcoming this little one into this world! The first baby of the year born at Lagos Island Maternity Hospital at 12.00am. Both baby & mother are doing well. "Glory to God for helping me to deliver safely," says the proud mother.
#EveryChildALIVE #HappyNewYear".
