WhatsApp to make big changes in 2019 and people aren't happy

The mobile phone chat application, which is used by 1.5 billion users every month, is set to incorporate advertisements in 2019 within its 'Status' section. The move is being made in an attempt to monetise the world's most popular chatting app, which is owned by Facebook. It will be a big first for WhatsApp, which has so far remained ad-free. And people have been quick to express their dissatisfaction at the news, reported by the Sunday Express . One Twitter user tweeted: "People don't want advertising on WhatsApp. They will find another platform to use when they get sick of adverts."
