There is dichotomy in all industries - Dr Aigoro

The permanent secretary, ministry of Health, Ogun state, Dr Nofiu Aigoro, while speaking  at the 15th year anniversary celebration of the Association of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Assistant of Nigeria (AMELTAN), Ogun state chapter, said there is dichotomy in every industries in the world.

He said this as the special guest of honour of the event while responding to the ASCON issue and current employment allegations raised by the Association chairman, Comr Adejola Olusegun, in his welcome address.

"Doctors and Nurses are also employed through ASCON. Doctors and Nurses are not the only ones to be employed, but it is a crack down to quickly do something.

"There is dichotomy in ever industry in Nigeria Africa and world as a whole, due to diversity in our cadres" he added

He also said "We must be proud of ourselves and be recognized with what we do. "

Parts of the side attractions includes the investiture of the Onigua of Eggualand, Oba (Dr) M A Dosumu, as the Royal Patron, Post humus awards to the families of Mr Folarin and Mr Alatishe.

A keynote address was delivered by Mrs A O Idowu from Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu on a topic: STANDARD PRACTICES IN MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE: YOUR ROLE AND MINE. followed by the introduction and presentation of inductees.

Also present at the program are Mr Akinsanya Akinsola (rep. National President, AMELTAN), Barr. (Imam) Adisa Taiwo (Legal adviser, Ogun AMELTAN), Mrs Akintunde (rep. Director, MLS, HMB, Ogun state), Mr Akinwande (OGUN state chairman, AMLSN), Mr Eziani Israel (Ogun state PRO, AMLSN), Elder (comr) Adeyemi I I, Past executives, Eggua Chief in council and host of others.
