Cafe operator nabbed for forging remita code

A cyber cafe operator at the Ibadan Study Centre, of the national open university of nigeria (NOUN), by name Shonibare Sadiq has been arrested by the management of the Centre for forging Remita receipts, bank tellers and stamp

Sodiq, popularly known as comrade was arrested, following the alarm raised by the centre's Accountant, Miss Adeola Ahmed.

Ahmed, who had observed that the, RRR printouts and bank tellers being presented by students were mostly forged, drew the attention of the management of the centre to the development.

The Director of the Centre, Prof. Mercy Ogunsola-Bandele told NOUN News that, no stone would be left  unturned, until other perpetrators were brought to book.

The case is being handled at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo state.

Sir, Wale Akinsola and Adeola Ahmed, both accountants at Awa-Ijebu and Ibadan study centres respectively, actually installed an app on their phones to detect this dubious act. It is hoped that others would emulate them to bring an end to this criminal tendency.
