FUNAAB Radio begins terrestrial transmission

The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, set another historical record today Monday 26th March, 2018, as their Radio station begins a terrestrial transmission.
While speaking with the coordinator of FUNAAB Radio, Mr Ayo Arowojolu, he said "FUNAAB Radio is a platform to inform, to educate and to also entertain".


More than that it is a strategy of the university to utilize the advantage of technology that can disseminate information to the largest community and stakeholders of the university".

He added that "FUNAAB Radio cannot have political affiliation because it is an organ of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and according to the license issued by National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), it cannot handle any political coverage. Its primary aim is to involve in the quality that will advance the progress of the university entirely".

When Eagles eye update asked about the features to be expected, he said, " the taste of the food is in the eating, you have to listen to us (FUNAAB Radio), particularly this process of test transmission, but primarily Agric focus, overall mandate is to boost food production and sufficiency in Nigeria, to be a vehicle for abundant, echo and disseminate the abundant of creativity, research, learning and knowledge. 

Agric focus will be there, and we will have zero tolerance, complete aversion for the prejudice of moral, we will not play songs that will debate the moral of our youths, we will be a platform for questions in university with no division but development.
We have a webpage www.funaabradio.unaab.edu.ng it is a process, but we have suspended the online transmission to process the terrestrial transmission, but we hope if we can get management approval we can run both concurrently so that people who are not within the coverage area can have access.

The frequency is FUNAAB Radio 89.5FM. He added that this is our radio, your radio and my radio, with the aim to be the best in professionalism in terms of personality and quality. Use it responsibly.

The late scribe of the National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (NACHPN), Ogun state chapter, Com Adeniyi Adekunle died in an auto accident on Saturday 13th January, 2024. NANNM Issues 15-Day Ultimatum to FG on Nurses' Verification and Other Demands

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has issued a 15-day ultimatum to the Federal Government of Nigeria to address the long-standing demands of Nigerian nurses.  This decision was made during the NANNM's National Executive Council meeting in Abuja on August 28, 2024.
