(ANDREAS ARNOLD/AFP/Getty Images) Frankfurt‘s city center, an area including police headquarters, two hospitals, transport systems and Germany’s central bank storing $70 billion in gold reserves will be evacuated on Sunday to allow the defusing of a 1.8 ton World War Two bomb. A spokesman for the German Bundesbank said, however, “the usual security arrangements” would remain in place while experts worked to disarm the bomb, dropped by the British air force and uncovered during excavation of a building site. The Bundesbank headquarters, less than 600 meters from the location of the bomb, stores 1,710 tonnes of gold underground, around half the country’s reserves. Hole In Lake Sparks Curiosity, So Man Flies Drone Inside & Captures Breathtaking Footage!

Image
History was made last month when water spilled into the Glory Hole at Lake Berryessa. This ended a 10+ year dry spell, and thus began an endless stream of tourists and national attention. The result was a beautiful and gorgeous-looking hole that had drones visiting it from above, capturing awesome footage. “This was an unprecedented climb,” said Kevin King, Water & Power operations manager for the Solano Irrigation District. “This pattern of wet weather has been unbelievable; none of us expected a forecast like this at all.” King explained that the recent peak of 8,500 cubic feet per second the dam experienced was just 1/5 of what the dam can handle. “We’re not concerned. I can’t emphasize that enough,” boasted King.  Share On Facebook   Copyright © 2017 Hygo. All rights reserved.

10 Shocking Theories That Show The Other Side Of HistoryTranslate

Image
People share generally accepted opinions on every famous historical event. But there is a chance that some of these points of view were imposed on us by the powers that be, possibly for their own profit. GIGGAG searched for alternative theories to famous historical events and looked at them from another viewpoint. Alternative does not always mean true, and they are not officially recognized. Although we really wish the last point was true! Titanic Sinking Alternative Theories en.wikipedia.org Source:  Version № 1 suggests that the sunken ship was the Olympic, an identical ship to the Titanic. The Olympic was constructed a year before and was accidentally damaged with no insurance to cover the costs. To pay the damages, White Star Line came up with the case of the century: they decided to secretly switch the vessels before the sailing. They wanted to send the old and damaged Olympic instead of the new Titanic, fake the crash in the sea, evacuate the passengers to the nearest ships

Regurgitation

Regurgitation is the expulsion of material from the pharynx, or esophagus, usually characterized by the presence of undigested food or blood. Regurgitation is used by a number of species to feed their young. This is typically in circumstances where the young are at a fixed location and a parent must forage or hunt for food, especially under circumstances where the carriage of small prey would be subject to robbing by other predators or the whole prey is larger than can be carried to a den or nest. Some bird species also occasionally regurgitate pellets of indigestible matter such as bones and feathers. It is in most animals a normal and voluntary process unlike the complex vomiting reflex in response to toxins. Honey is produced by a process of regurgitation by honey bees, which is stored in the beehive as a primary food source. Humans In humans it can be voluntary or involuntary, the latter being due to a small number of disorders. Regurgitation of a person's meals following i

Scientists dig up an 800-year-old clay pot, and what they found inside it is just incredible!

Image
A group of students from Winnipeg, Canada, had an amazing stroke of luck when they got the rare opportunity to harvest an unusual squash from 800-year-old seeds, and later, taste it. They were “Really Cool Old Squash!” These mysterious seeds, thought to be extinct for hundreds of years, were unearthed by archaeologists during an archaeological dig on the Menominee Reservation near Green Bay, Wisconsin, in the United States, in 2008. They found these rare seeds buried in a clay ball. This clay vessel was said to be carbon-dated to 850 years ago. “There was an archeological dig on First Nations (Native) land in Wisconsin, and they found a clay vessel about the size of a tennis ball, and in that vessel they found seeds,” Brian Etkin, the Curriculum Consultant of the Garden of Learning, told  APTN News . These strange, dried, oval-shaped seeds, believed to be around 8 centuries old, were actually preserved seeds of an extinct, ancient squash variety planted by Native Americans. S

Smoking in Pregnancy, Refusal to Breastfeed can Give Your Son Low Sperm Count —Study

Image
Researchers keep worrying that men’s sperm count has been falling globally, with the resultant effect on their inability to father children as at when desired. Experts say falling sperm count can be linked to a number of health issues that have been on the rise. Some causes of low sperm count are given as follow: • In 2015, Harvard researchers found that men who ate produce with higher levels of pesticide residues — such as strawberries, spinach, and peppers — had lower sperm counts than men who got cleaner produce, such as avocados, cabbage, and oranges. • Another study suggests that mothers who smoke while pregnant can drive down sperm counts in their sons. • Stress and obesity also seem to harm sperm counts, and both are prevalent problems in the countries experiencing the dramatic decline. Hagai Levine, who co-led the work for this study, says, “This study is an urgent wake-up call for researchers and health authorities around the world to investigate the causes of the sharp

Does this footage prove that 170-year-old mummified lama was wandering around the museum?

Image
The remains of a lama, which are still remarkably preserved 90 years after his death, has defied the laws of science. Now, a religious leader in Russia has claimed the mummified monk has been moving around the museum where he is kept—“This is not a joke, that’s for sure.” Russian Buddhist Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigilov passed away in 1927 when he was 80 years old. His body showed no signs of decomposition, even after being exhumed three times: once in 1955, again in 1973, and yet again in 2002. The amazingly well-preserved body remains free of visible decay, and sits in the meditative “lotus position” with both feet folded on top of the thighs, and has remained so, even to this day. His cross-legged corpse is kept in a glass case on the second floor of the Palace of Khambo Lama Itigilov, near Ulan-Ude in Siberia. © Getty Images But, in 2016, a local religious leader claimed the lama’s mummified body was caught wandering around the second floor of the museum at night. To teach ex-wife a lesson, distraught man literally cuts all belongings in half

Image
A man literally cut in half his car, DVD player, and laptop, among many other items, after a judge ordered him to “split” all his belongings with his ex-wife. It was only when the Suddeutsche Zeitung, a German-based newspaper, revealed the shocking truth behind the man’s actions did people come to understand his grief. Divorce is a tragedy. The grief of being betrayed by your partner could perhaps be even worse than the pain of losing your loved one to death. This feeling was best illustrated by Sue Merrell, in her book Great News Town: “Losing a mate to death is devastating, but it’s not a personal attack like divorce. When somebody you love stops loving you and walks away, it’s an insult beyond comparison.” If that feeling Merrell wrote about in her book is accurate, it could justify the unusual actions of this distraught and irate husband. To settle the divorce, the courts instructed the husband to “split” all his belongings and share half of them with his wife. Going insane
