Hole In Lake Sparks Curiosity, So Man Flies Drone Inside & Captures Breathtaking Footage!

History was made last month when water spilled into the Glory Hole at Lake Berryessa. This ended a 10+ year dry spell, and thus began an endless stream of tourists and national attention.

The result was a beautiful and gorgeous-looking hole that had drones visiting it from above, capturing awesome footage.

“This was an unprecedented climb,” said Kevin King, Water & Power operations manager for the Solano Irrigation District. “This pattern of wet weather has been unbelievable; none of us expected a forecast like this at all.”

King explained that the recent peak of 8,500 cubic feet per second the dam experienced was just 1/5 of what the dam can handle.

“We’re not concerned. I can’t emphasize that enough,” boasted King.

A well known broadcaster and musician, Mr Oluwole Osikoya Popularly called Gbenga Allyson or Shoshogirisho, said in a media chat in Abeokuta that the last multi talented broadcaster, producer and entertainer, Prince Gbenga Adeboye, gave him his nickname. Nigerians on social media went agog to a poster with the inscription “GEJ Is Coming Back” which suggests the ambition of former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest for presidency in the 2023 elections. Nigerian nurses protest new certificate verification guidelines in Abuja

Hundreds of nurses under the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) have taken to the streets of Abuja, decrying the newly implemented verification guidelines by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). The aggrieved nurses, who stormed the NMCN headquarters on Monday, accused the council of stifling their career aspirations with the “stringent and unnecessary” rules. They held placards with inscriptions such as “No to verification rules!” and “Address nurses’ welfare.” The NMCN had on February 7, 2024, issued a circular revising the guidelines for requesting verification of certificates for nurses and midwives. The new rules mandate a minimum of two years post-qualification experience, a letter of good standing from the applicant’s employer and training institution, and a processing time of at least six months. FUNAAB: Ex-DVC refunds N1.4m to escape prosecution

APPARENTLY to escape prosecution and yield to the directive of the former Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in Ogun State, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Felix Kolawole Salako, has returned N1.4 million into the university purse. Salako refunded the money via bank draft issued by the FUNAAB branch of the Guaranty Trust Bank last Wednesday at 9.15am. “It was in respect of the money collected for children wedding ceremony as allocated for members of Governing Council,” the source explained.
