Two INEC officials caught moving sensitive materials in Osun

Two INEC officials in Obokun LGA area were earlier this morning (around 3am) arrested for diverting sensitive election materials. One of the suspects, the Electoral Officer for the LGA, confessed to the act but refused to name those who sent him as he pleaded for mercy. However, he did not deny when confronted that he was sighted inside vehicles belong to a PDP stalwart in Obokun. His phone call log also showed clearly that he’s had constant voice and SMS communication with the PDP chief . The vigilant people of Otan-Ile would have lynched the suspects but for the intervention of police officers. The INEC vehicle with registration number FG816V01 used in transporting the materials and the suspects involved are presently held at the State CID of the Police Command in Oshogbo. Malaysia Airlines to be nationalised

Malaysia's state investment fund has unveiled plans to make Malaysia Airlines fully government owned, as it prepares to carry out a far-reaching overhaul of the carrier that is reeling from double disasters. In a proposal announced on Friday, Malaysia Airlines suspended its shares on the Kuala Lumpur stock exchange, as its majority shareholder, Khazanah Nasional, said it would purchase all minority shares and finalise a restructuring plan by the end of the month. Khazanah Nasional, which is chaired by Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak, said the state takeover will represent the first stage of a "complete overhaul" of the loss-making airline. "The proposed restructuring will critically require all parties to work closely together to undertake what will be a complete overhaul of the national carrier," it said in a statement. Authorities in Karamay banned people wearing hijabs, niqabs, burqas or clothing with the Islamic star and crescent symbol from taking local buses, the Karamay Daily reported. Fears that Ebola may reach Britain intensified last night after a passenger from Sierra Leone died at Gatwick airport.

The 72-year-old woman became ill and collapsed after she left a Gambia Bird jet arriving from the West African country. A total of 826 people have died in Africa as a result of an outbreak of the deadly virus which began in February - 256 of these lived in Sierra Leone. The woman was reportedly vomiting heavily and sweating profusely, but tests last night showed that the woman did not have the virus The plane, which had 128 passengers on board and stopped off in Gambia before heading to the UK, was quarantined as officials traced those who had been in contact with the woman. An airport worker told the Daily Mirror: ‘We’ve all seen how many people have died from Ebola, especially in Sierra Leone, and it’s terrifying. Former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun State has accused President Goodluck Jonathan of befriending all those accused in the murder of Bola Ige, a one-time Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Nigeria. A policeman searched Emeka in a nightclub toilet last night and found a small bag of drugs. "It's not my fault," Emeka said, "every time I try flushing them down the toilet they magically appear back in my pocket again!" "Do you really expect me to believe that?" Prescription indeed

A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said, "I would like to buy some cyanide." The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?" The lady replied, "I need it to poison my husband." The pharmacist's eye got big and he exclaimed, "Lord have mercy! I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband. That's against the law! I'll lose my license! They'll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!" The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife.
