Man urinates on young girl's privates, pays her with slice of bread

In an act of sexual violence, a Bulawayo man allegedly urinated on a girl's privates and paid her off with a slice of bread. The man, Nyararai Nebeta, had hoodwinked the girl into going with him to his house after he saw her drinking tea without bread. It is reported that the incident occurred on 23 December 2013. On the fateful day, Nebeta went to the girl's home to pay a visit. The two are neighbours. When the man got there, he found the girl drinking tea without bread in the company of her grandparents. After chatting with the girl's grandparents, Nebeta invited the minor to accompany him to his home. When the two got there, the man allegedly made her lie on the bed before undressing her and removing his closes as well. The man then urinated on the girl's private parts and paid her with a slice of bread before instructing her to go back home. The reason for performing the inhumane act however, remains a mystery. A short moment later, the man called the girl back and gave her three biscuits and 'bade her farewell'. When the youngster got home, she wanted to change her underwear since Nebeta had urinated on her privates. Nebeta ran out of luck when the minor's mother realised that the girl's pants were indeed wet. Upon interrogating her the girl narrated her ordeal to her mother who took her to the accused homestead. Nebeta is said to have apoligised. "I'm sorry I don't know what got into me," he allegedly said to the girl's mother. The girl was taken for medical examination where her mother was advised to make a police report which she did leading to Nebeta's arrest. The man appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Themba Chimiso. He was remanded in custody and was advised by the magistrate to apply for bail at the High Court pending his second appearance in court.
