“I am still trying to understand the norms about secretly recording phone conversations” – Regina Chukwu vents
In the wake of her colleague Toyin Abraham’s leaked voice note, Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has spoken on the culture of recording.
In a social media post, she said she was trying to understand the norms about secretly recording phone conversations with one’s friends/acquaintance.
Regina expressed gratitude that she can’t say things she can’t say to one’s face. She said she is hurt if someone she is comfortable gisting with records her conversation in secret.
“I am still trying to understand the norms about secretly recording phone conversations your friend/acquaintance is having with you – like, why the recording in the first place?
Thank God, I will never say things I can’t say to your face, behind you! But I do get deeply hurt if someone I am comfortable gisting with records our conversation in secrecy.
I mean, what exactly?”.

The Yoruba actress had sent a message to men who are fond of verbally abusing their women, letting them know they are damaging the woman’s heart, confidence, and peace. The actress added that once a woman’s peace is gone, he’ll never get the same version of her again.
Regina had probed ladies, questioning what type of man they would prefer: one who beats them and gives them N300k daily or one who gives them peace of mind and 10k monthly.
In another post, Regina had crowned women the most resilient creatures on earth. She noted how a woman can sit in her car, bed, or bathroom crying yet act unbothered, smile, and go about her business like nothing happened. She noted how women go through a lot as she sent an encouraging message to them.
In other news, Chukwu came under fire over the post she made during the death of Alex Ekubo. Explaining herself, she said the post was scheduled, and though she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation, people always want to dictate how others should live their lives.
While weighing in on Funke Akindele and Kunle Afolayan’s drama, the Yoruba actress noted how life is turn by turn, stating that everyone will be alright in the industry. She admonished them to do what they can without shading anyone.
The movie star had also expressed sadness over a viral AI video featuring dead actors. Chukwu expressed how emotional she was seeing the clip.
