The circular reads as follows:

Dear Comrades,

RE: A NOTICE OF 15 DAYS ULTIMATUM

The above subject-matter refers.

Recall that the above notice was forwarded to all state Councils, Specialist and Pressure groups in our correspondence with ref. No. NANNM/ADM/41/VOL.VI/18, dated 2nd September, 2024 on the subject-matter.

The Federal Ministry of Health, on receiving the Ultimatum notice, attempted to convoke a meeting with the Association but it couldn't hold due to an avoidable reason from the side of the government. The meeting was rescheduled for Friday 13th September, 2024 for negotiation.

The National Leadership has concluded all the necessary preparations to attend the meeting as Nurses' representative. Your solidarity and prayers are keenly solicited.

You are by this letter passionately enjoined to intensify your deliberate and massive mobilization of our members, peradventure the meeting ends in a dead lock.

Kindly give an aggressive mobilization to all our members in all the tiers should the government fails/refuses to agree to our terms presented to the Federal Ministry of Health. Note that the 15 days ultimatum elapses by 12 midnight on the 15th September, 2024.

Members are therefore directed to proceed on a-3-day-warning strike from 16th to 12 midnight 18th September, 2024. However, the outcome of the meeting of the Association with the Federal Ministry of Health tomorrow shall be duly communicated to the state Councils. Do give this directive the urgency and necessity it deserves!

Thank you.
ELDER OTARU DANIEL SHAIBU
