Former Premier League and Dutch star, Van Persie, named SC Heerenveen head coach
Robin van Persie Former Arsenal and Manchester United forward, Robin van Persie has secured his first senior managerial role following his appointment as the new head coach for Dutch club, SC Heerenveen. The appointment was disclosed on Thursday on the club’s website. The 40-year-old ex-Dutch striker enjoyed a stellar career at Feyenoord, Arsenal, Manchester United and Fenerbahçe, before his retirement in 2019. Van Persie, popularly called RVP, started working at Feyenoord as a specialist and youth coach where he was a co-head coach for the Feyenoord U-18 side.
