Oyo state police command recovered baby items and car 6 months after stolen by armed robber.

The Oyo state Police command was on Wednesday 14th February shared a heartfelt story of a couple who were robbed, sometime in July 2023, when the woman was having a labour pain.

The woman was said to have been beaten up and the husband was almost killed by the robber, this was made available on their official X handle (formally Twitter) @OyoPoliceNG

They added that "The robbers cart away the baby items and their victim's car (Toyota Versa).

The gallant and vibrant officers recovered all the stolen items after 6 months.

The post read:
"It was a clear dark night mid July 2023 when Lara and her husband (Not their real names) were heading out to the hospital. Lara was already feeling labor spasms and hubby had to hurry.
They were attacked by a suspected robbery syndicate who beat Lara up. It was even worse for the husband who tried to play hero as he was almost killed. That chilled night in July, 2023, the suspects parted with 2 bags filled with baby clothing and accessories and their Toyota venza vehicle. 
Fast forward February 14, 2024 @OyoPoliceNG was able to recover all the stolen items, inclusive of the Venza. 
We are particularly elated that the baby boy is about (6) months now.(Mommy had him that night).
