Makinde Names Idi Ape-Akobo-Olorunda Road After Nyesom Wike

In a surprising move, the governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, has named the Idi Ape to Akobo-Olorunda as Governor Nyesom Wike road after Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State. The announcement was made at the flag-off of the dualization of the road Olorunda Abaa road on Friday.

The governor stated that the road will provide relief for motorists and residents, and enhance the development of the axis upon completion. He also revealed that 30 percent of the total sum has been paid to the contractor and that the project will be completed in twelve months.

Despite the confusion surrounding the naming of the road, residents of the area are excited about the reconstruction work that has started. They hope that upon completion, the road will ease traffic congestion and improve transportation in the area.
