Mrs Adewumi finally laid to rest

The body of the late Mrs Ruth Abosede Adewumi was laid to rest on Friday 27th November, 2020 after a church service at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Jesus Consulate II, Obantoko, Abeokuta.
Condolences and tributes had been coming in from families, friends and colleagues of Mrs Adewumi.

Mrs Ruth Abosede Adewumi answer the call to eternal glory on the 15th November, 2020 after one month 15 days of celebrating her 60th birthday.

Mrs Ruth Abosede Adewumi was born on the first of October 1960 (1-10-1960), to the family of Mr Jacob Afọlábí and Mrs Lydia Afọlábí.

She attended St Luke's LEA Primary school, Obbo-Aiyegunle, Ekiti LGA of Kwara state, from 1969 to 1975. She proceeded to Queen Amina College, Kaduna from 1976 to 1977 and later to Women Teacher's College (WTC) between 1977 and 1981.

She enrolled for National Certificate of Education (NCE) between 1990 and 1995 at the Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and she equally completed her grade II certificate in 2002.

While in Kaduna, she taught briefly at Ja'ama LEA Primary school, Zango, Sabo Gari LGA between November 1996 and December 22nd, 2005 before joining her husband at Abeokuta in January 2006.

She started her employment career at Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta in UNAAB staff school where she taught briefly as a class teacher between June 1 and September 20, 2006.
She was transferred to the main campus of the university on the 20th September, 2006 and posted to the University Health Centre and worked as an Executive Officer attached to the office of the Director of the Centre. 

She later worked at the National Health Insurance Scheme as the desk officer in the year 2009 and 2011. 

She was later transferred to the Post-graduate school between January 2012 and 2017. Her final work place was AMREC unit of the University in 2018 where she worked as Principal Executive Officer II until her demise.

She was married to Prof. J K Adewumi, of the College of Engineering, FUNAAB and was survived by husband and four promising children.

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
