Gunmen kill pastor in Ekiti

Unknown gunmen on Sunday killed a cleric, Mr Kayode Ogunleye, who was also a staff of the Ekiti West Local Government Area in Ekiti State.

NAN reports that the lifeless body of the pastor was dumped in a forest on the Aramoko-Ijero-Ekiti highway in Ekiti State.

The Public Relations Officer of the police command in Ekiti, Mr Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident, said that it was a suspected case of murder.

Also, Sources who spoke to newsmen revealed that Ogunleye, who works for All Christian Fellowship Church, was murdered while working on his farm.
According to one of the sources who pleaded anonymity, he was shot dead while trying to harvest banana at his plantation.

He also described Ogunleye’s killing as barbaric, calling on security agencies to fish out the killers.
