Minister Of Mines & Steel Development, Kayode Fayemi Emerges APC Governorship Candidate In Ekiti

Minister of Mines and Steel Development , Dr Kayode Fayemi, today emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State and will be the party’s flag bearer in the July 14th governorship election in the state.

Fayemi who has served as governor of the state, won the keenly contested governorship primary of the party held  in Ado Ekiti with 941 votes counted against 31 other candidates.

Fayemi will now face the incumbent deputy governor of the state, Professor Olusola Kolapo who last Tuesday emerged the candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
