MARADONA: IT WASN'T A PENALTY, BUT VAZQUEZ DID WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE

Should Los Blancos have been awarded a last-gasp penalty against Juventus? Not according to the Argentina legend

Diego Maradona said Real Madrid should not have been awarded a stoppage-time penalty against Juventus in the Champions League, though the Argentine icon insisted Lucas Vazquez did exactly as he would have done.

A last-gasp Cristiano Ronaldo penalty saw two-time reigning champions Madrid reach the semi-finals 4-3 on aggregate despite a 3-1 loss to Juventus Wednesday.

With extra time looming after Juve erased Madrid's three-goal first-leg advantage by sensationally taking a 3-0 lead at the Santiago Bernabeu, Vazquez was fouled under a challenge from Medhi Benatia.
