Weird: Dead man withdrew 4.3 million naira from bank in Kaduna

According to an interesting story from The Sun, a young medical doctor who died in a motor accident on the way to his wedding on October 10, 2013 withdrew about N4.3m from his own account in Union Bank in Kaduna few weeks after his death?  Excerpt: A new twist emerged when the dead man applied for an ATM card from his bank and used it to clear his account. A family source said: “When Chidiebere died, we discovered that his mobile telephone number had been blocked. We were surprised because no member of our family told the GSM service provider that Chidiebere had died. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo on Friday advised public officers and politicians to get rid of their private jets as President Muhammadu Buhari had begun blocking financial leakages in the country’s economy. Tinubu, Akande absence at APC NEC meeting

National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is absent at the ongoing meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC meeting of the party in Abuja. Also, former interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande was also not present at the meeting. Both leaders of the party have apparently not hiden their dissatisfaction with  the national assembly leadership election held on June 9. The elections eventually plunged the party into crisis, eliciting verbal attacks and cold war amongst leaders of the party. Early this week, Akande wrote a controversial open letter where he alleged a conspiracy of the north against the south west, warning that the party may lose future elections if the crisis was not nipped in the bud. PROMINENT leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Chief Dayo Okondo, has faulted his appointment as a member of the Governing Council of the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti by Governor Ayo Fayose. Okondo, a former PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) member, said he was shocked to have heard his name on the radio as he was not consulted before the appointment was made. Addressing a press briefing on Friday in his Ikere country home, Okondo stressed that membership of the College of Education Governing Council won’t be beneficial to him as it fallsshort of his status in the party. The former Chairman of the State Local Government Service Commission emphasised that his appointment as a governing council member belittles his status as a founding father of the PDP and as a party leader that brought Fayose into the party.
