Babangida Solicits Support For Jonathan

Former Nigerian Military President, General Ibrahim
Babangida, has said that anyone who means well
for Nigeria should support President Goodluck
Jonathan to make Nigeria survive as a united
nation.

General Babangida was speaking in his
country home in Minna, Niger State,
when President Goodluck Jonathan paid
him a visit in the spirit of the season.
President Goodluck Jonathan had
identified General Babangida as a
national leader whose counsel is very
much needed at the end of the year such
as this, especially bearing in mind the
insecurity in the land.
According to the President, the country
is passing through some challenges and
the experience of the former military
Head of State would be needed if some
of these challenges must be adequately
tackled.

Gbenga Adeboye gave me my nickname - Shoshogirisho

A well known broadcaster and musician, Mr Oluwole Osikoya Popularly called Gbenga Allyson or Shoshogirisho, said in a media chat in Abeokuta that the last multi talented broadcaster, producer and entertainer, Prince Gbenga Adeboye, gave him his nickname. Social media goes agog as ‘Goodluck Jonathan coming back’ 2023 posters surface online

Nigerians on social media went agog to a poster with the inscription “GEJ Is Coming Back” which suggests the ambition of former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest for presidency in the 2023 elections. According to Sahara Reporters, the poster was done by a faceless group known as the National Agenda for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. It claimed it aimed for a better Nigeria come 2023. However, this has been greeted with mixed reactions from citizens with many condemning Jonathan’s ambition. This was even after the Instagram blog, mufasatundeednut, queried if Nigeria was going backwards or forward. Infections in 2016 went up 73 percent from 2015, reflecting the emergence of Zika, which is transmitted by mosquitoes and can cause severe birth defects.
