An old farmer wrote to his son who was in prison "...this year I won't b able to plant potatoes and other things because I can't dig the field, I know if you were here you would have helped me" The son wrote back, "Dad, don't even think of digging the field do you want to expose me? That's where I buried the money I stole" The police read the letter before delivering it to the father, and the next day the whole field was dug by police but nothing was found. The following day the son wrote to his father again, "Now you can plant your potatoes Dad, your farm has been dug for you"

Tukur has not resigned – Aide

The Peoples Democratic Party’s National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur’s Special Assistant on Media, Prince Oliver Okpala, has dismissed the resignation report. In a terse statement on Wednesday, Okpala said: “Be informed that the National Chairman has not resigned, it is all speculation. “The National Chairman will be at the BOT meeting tonight and will also attend the NEC of the party tomorrow (Thursday).” Meanwhile, the embattled Tukur stayed away from the party’s NWC meeting on Wednesday, a development which some sources attributed to his probable exit from the party. The weekly NWC meeting is always presided over by the party chairman. Wednesday’s meeting was presided over by the Deputy National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), on Wednesday, said it is premature for anyone to conclude that the men of the Nigerian Army used live ammunition on harmless protesters at the Lekki toll gate on October 20, 2020. He spoke during a Channels Television’s current affairs programme, ‘Politics Today’ monitored by The PUNCH. The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Restitution for Victims of SARS Related Abuses and Other Matters which probed the EndSARS protests in the state last year recently submitted its findings to the state government, saying nine protesters died by gunshot wounds when soldiers stormed Lekki toll gate in October 20, 2020. The Justice Doris Okuwobi-led panel stated, “The atrocious maiming and killing of unarmed, helpless and unresisting protesters, while sitting on the floor and waving their Nigerian flags and while singing the National Anthem can be equated to a ‘massacre’ in context.” The Lagos State...

The historic town of Imesi -Ile is located on a hilly landscape – a semi plateau, in Ijesha area of Yorubaland, Nigeria. It is about 23 miles (37 kilometers) north-east of Ilesha, and about 19 miles (31 kilometers) from Oshogbo, the Oshun State capital.
