Egypt Court Jails Seven Over Sexual Assaults

A court in Egypt has sentenced seven men to prison after finding them guilty of sexual assault and harassment. Several women were attacked by a mob in Cairo's Tahrir Square last month during celebrations after the election of president Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi. Afterwards, president Al- Sisi ordered officials to enforce a new law making sexual assault a crime for the first time. Women's rights groups have in the past accused the Egyptian authorities of failing to tackle the issue.
