DIY Cable TV Installations

We decided to come up with a complete DIY guide for installing or setting up a satellite dish & decoder for DSTV, MyTV, Multi TV & etcetera by following after a simple tut. This idea was birthed after we recently installed one for a student who complained of having not even half our installation fees. We concluded that a guide like this can help a lot of persons install their satellite dishes without a bug of any kind. Following this guide step by step will help you install and setup your satellite Tv dishes without the usual missing channels, poor signal and related issues that happens as a result of low technical know-how for installing satellite dishes. We strongly advice you ignore this if you have a phobia for learning new stuff or not a big fan of do-it-yourself (DIY) guides. It can come in handy for new installations, adjusting dish positions and/or when relocating to a remote area. Post Outline     Tools Needed       ...

The Fascinating Stories and History Behind Every Premier League Club's Nickname

Image
1. AFC Bournemouth (The Cherries) Initially formed in 1890 as Boscombe St. John's Institute, Bournemouth have been known as the Cherries ever since moving to their current home at Dean Court in 1910. The club  itself  says there are two main stories as to why. One comes from the colour of the striped shirts they played in at the time, cherry red. The other is to do with the fact that Dean Court, these days known as the Vitality Stadium, was built on wasteland next to the Cooper-Dean family estate which included a number of cherry orchards. 2. Arsenal (The Gunners) Arsenal's 'Gunners' nickname originates from the same piece of history that gives the club its actual name. Formed in the late 19th century by workers at Royal Arsenal, where weapons for the British army were manufactured and stored, they were known as Woolwich Arsenal. It wasn't until 1913 that the club moved from Woolwich in south east London to their present location in north London, ultimately d...

Ash spew from Mexico's Popocatepetl volcano, some 34 miles from Mexico City, as seen from San Mateo Ozolco, in the Mexican central state of Puebla on July 4, 2013. (Pablo Spencer/AFP/Getty Images) Mexico City Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera says a total of 115 people have died in the capital following the magnitude 7.1 earthquake that shook the capital and nearby states. That would bring the nationwide death toll to 245. The latest quake struck around 150 km (90 miles) southeast of Mexico City, shattering glass, shearing off the sides of buildings and leaving others in dusty piles of destruction. Parts of the capital, home to some 20 million people, are built on an ancient lake bed that trembles easily in a quake. Both Mexican earthquakes occurred along the Cocos tectonic plate, which skirts the western coast of Mexico and is slowly sliding beneath the North American plate. Unlocking mysteries with ancient Babylonian stone tablet. (Andrew Kelly/UNSW) A 3,700-year-old Babylonian tablet was recently translated and might rewrite the history of math, suggesting that trigonometry may have been developed before the ancient Greeks. The researchers said the tablet proves that the Babylonians developed trigonometry some 1,500 years prior to the Greeks. Dr. Daniel Mansfield with the Plimpton 322 Babylonian clay tablet in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Columbia University in New York. (Andrew Kelly/UNSW) The tablet, called Plimpton 322, was found in Southern Iraq around the turn of the last century. American archaeologist and diplomat Edgar Banks, the inspiration for Indiana Jones discovered the tablet. As the Telegraph  noted : However unlike today’s trigonometry, Babylonian mathematics used a base 60, or sexagesimal system, rather than the 10, which is used today. Because 60 is far easier to divide by three, experts studying the tablet, fo...

A would-be-treasure-hunter was combing through Sherwood Forest one day when his metal detector suddenly sounded. He thought it was something innocuous at first, until he caught a glint of gold. What he discovered turned out to be hundreds of years old, and worth much more than he expected. In 2016, Mark Thompson was hunting for treasure in Robin Hood’s Sherwood Forest in Newark, Nottinghamshire in England, when his metal detector sounded and he started digging. The glinty object, caked in dirt, turned out to be a ring, which, after the dirt was removed, he saw had a sapphire and an engraving, he told NTD. © Mark Thompson Additionally, he also found a gold coin. Both treasures date back to the 14th century, he said, adding: “We have a lot of treasures here in England.” © Mark Thompson © Mark Thompson According to various media reports, 34-year-old Thompson, who makes a living by spray-painting fork-lift trucks, hadn’t expected to find a medieval ring. © Mark Thompson When he cons...

News concerning an ancient mobile phone, which was supposedly left behind by aliens and excavated in 2015, has electrified the Internet. In the photo, we can see that the atypical phone indeed is marked with ancient cuneiform symbols, and somewhat resembles an old “3310 Nokia” phone. It’s said that archaeologists had found an 800-year-old mobile phone in Fuschl am See in Austria. “What a device like this with Cuneiform writing is doing in Austria is something that no one is able to fully understand or explain,” wrote conspiracy website  To the Death Media . “Regrettably the information about this ‘sensational’ discovery is limited.” ©YouTube Screenshot |  Paranormal Crucible Well, it was these claims and more, such as a statement made by Paranormal Crucible, claiming the phone dates back to the “13th century BCE,” that had conspiracy theorists rather excited. And we know how easily information travels these days. ©YouTube Screenshot |  Paran...
